Rajeev, I think Parag's injuries are too bad...he needs complete bed rest this entire season, you never know ;-) Get well soon Bro...nothing new to mention but u r the best keeper I have seen in Cricbay. And WCW needs you badly, especially against Mavs :-)

Rajeev, Parag's a fighter! He dived full length to grab a catch, which most fielder would not even attempt. He caught it but ball popped out as soon as his hand hit the ground. He could not keep for a bunch of overs after that. Eventually when Manish bowled, he kept wicket in pain and even did a stumping off Manish's bowling. Not sure how he managed to run between the wickets with so much pain and even got hit by a throw smack on his lips, resulting in some blood. But he remained focused and coasted us home. Although as a result of his injuries, he converted a bunch of two's into one and so he ended up scoring atleast 5-10 runs less than he would have otherwise. He will back for this weekend's game, even if he is in some pain.

I feel Parag needs complete bed rest at least for another month :)

It was a nice game..There was great respect for both teams by all players thru' out day.But pitch had flip side to it, just ripped us off..Infinity just scored 67 in 20 overs,we got great start by scalping 3 Top order batsmen for just 4 runs in 4 overs. But no doubt Parag(with 39 Strike Rate) & praveen(51 Strike rate) held their ground(So did bright SUN came to saw their innings:-) ) for long time which ensured WCW to finish with 9 balls to spare. @Parag i hope u recover back to next game....All the best for next games

Thanks Ashwin and Nitin for acknowledging the efforts. I did what you guys would have done it too, when Team is in big trouble and desperate need of Win. I am still on pain killer but win was more satisfying above all.

Well said Nitin. Parag dived in an attempt to catch one of Infinity's batsmen out and hurt his left hip badly. Despite the injury, he fielded for all 20 overs and batted without a runner. Kudos to you mate!

typical rain battered pitch with more balls hitting body than bat. ask Parag... kudos to him for hanging in and positioning WCW for the win despite injuries all the way from lips to toe...

Just 3 fours and one six in a game involving two really good teams with some big hitters.. Sunny Singh and Ajit Apte missing must have been a good reason.. I have seen sumanth bat.. i wonder what would happen if he decides to stay a bit longer :) Infinity have found a very good bowler in Thomaskutty... bowling really well from what i see.. good to see Parag doing well.. one of those who always flies under the radar but someone who can hurt a bowling team real bad.. Good win WCW.. god knows you needed it.. and infinity, one bad blip in the radar...

Thanks for the encouragement Shashank and Prashant. Group H has definitely become very interesting, which means that all the remaining games will be even more exciting.

It was already a tough group and WCW made it tougher but interesting as well. Another loss can push WCW to gold and that wud definitely be a sad news for me. Come on guys, no more surprises. Hoping a comprehensive win this weekend. Infinity is indeed a good team with so many genuine match winners. Good luck.

This is the game of the week for me. WCW after 2 losses in a row need to win this one and Infinity has hardly been challenged till now.. But putting my money on WCW and Manish, Saurabh, Praveen and Ashwin to step up this week.. and turn the heat ON in group H.
