Darshak Randeria (RCPC) bowled a No ball on 11/19/2011 in a game against Legends. Phalgun Sarikonda (Mavericks) bowled one against Seamers and the date was 9/29/2012. What’s special about these two no balls you might ask. Those are the only instances when these two bowlers have bowled a no ball in their entire Cricbay career!!! For anyone who has bowled over 100 overs, these two have bowled the least number of no balls. To ensure, we give credit to bowlers who might have bowled a lot more overs, I normalize it by sorting based on Overs per each wide bowled . For examples, Ashwin Kolhe will bowl about 27 overs between each no balls or if Pavan Konduru bowls a no ball, his captain can be assured that the next one will come in about 6 week’s time.. which is quite incredible J
These are the few who have not bowled a single no ball (for anyone who bowled at least 50 overs.
There is no bowler who has bowled 50+ overs and not bowled a wide as expected. There are a few who have bowled no wides, but they haven’t bowled enough J Here’s the list of bowlers with the most discipline when it comes to not giving extras.
Now, my favorite list.. the list of bowlers (who have bolwed at least 100 overs) who give away least number of extras (No balls + Wides). I am NOT surprised at all with the number 1 there.. I have noticed this over the years every time I look at bowling stats.
It takes a LOT of skills and discipline and focus to churn out numbers so consistently. This is really brilliant stuff and I hope to see you guys continue this for seasons to come.
I also looked at some of the best Cricbay bowlers who have bowled over 400 overs and take boat loads of wickets. They are obviously not too shabby. Badal bowles a no ball every 5 overs and some of the others average over 4 overs which is incredible for someone who has bowled thousands of deliveries.
